When it comes to parts, If you know what your doing and do it right, It will stay pretty consistent. I rely mostly on the service aspect of my business though which is doing just fine right now.

I understand that and I totally agree with it. BUT, I could do that too if I really wanted to. only problem is, and I am sure many people who are in the business will agree, when it rains it pours, but when its dry, there is no telling how long a dry spell will last. Now that this thread is completely off topic, I will end my deliberation

Yes, I agree. There are dry spells to be had when it comes to parts, But then tend to not last too long. Like I said, I rely on the service end to keep things funded and moving and that seems to be quite steady right now. But I enjoy doing this line of work very much and every second I spend working on an SVX is a good time to me and I'm willing to take the down times and deal with them when they happen for it. But I agree, Let's put this thread back on topic.

I had a good experience with edknot on eBay. I got scared when he was listed on this eBay Buyer Beware thread and it took almost 3 weeks. I did get my parts and they all arrived as described and I left him positive feedback. There are people from Vineland, New Jersey who is not a crook.

Not many members had that kind of luck. You are lucky.

Do not buy from edknot. Here's my story...

My SVX blew it's front differential on October Friday the 13th. SOoooo a bunch of friends got together and bought me a transmission (since diffs were rare and more expensive at the time). I thought it was coming from the same person that my brother bought the 300ZX JDM engine from. But it came from the infamous edknot (btw it was sold outside of ebay). My brother picked it up (it looked good on the outside) and brought it home to surprise me. A couple days later we were tinkering with the tranny and I noticed some marks on the side of it. So we noticed that something wasn't right with the front diff. So we opened it up only to NOT find the ring gear. It was missing. Also it looked like someone had chopped at it with an axe. So long story short we have a transmission that probably doesn't work. I was going to take him to court, but I have no definite address. Also, I don't exactly know who edknot is...and by the time I found out it would have been getting late. So instead we will test the transmission to see if it works. And if it doesn't work we are going to have fun with it.

He said it has 70k on it out of a Laguna blue SVX. The car had been in an accident. Which I find funny considering he parted it out on ebay. All fenders, bumbers, etc. How many has he sold using that story? Also, when my brother went to pick it up he saw a couple SVXs being dismantled (the Laguna Blue being one) and another couple of Subarus.

So the moral of the story...SAY NO TO EDKNOT...and any other person in Vineland. Sorry Sanya, but after going through this I need proof that you're not a scammer. And I believe that the mileage on the tranny I got is most likely incorrect. If anyone knows the true mileage and the history of the Laguna Blue car I'd really appreciate any info.

The bad side of me wanted to put the tranny in his bed with a bunch of tranny fluid. I love the Godfather.

Short Memories??????

Some of you with short memories need to reread this post and ADMISSION that Sanya is Oleksandr or Alexander Nazarenko. He personally ripped on many many people on here under many different names. I will research some of the names and post them in here and THEN you will remember.

His own admission.

http://www.subaru-svx.net/forum/show...=23974&page=23

Do you remember Slonsvx5mt, Biostar, Oleks, 1vs1vs1, Alex2888, CivicKilla28??????????????????????????
AND there were even some other names.

Lee

I'd be willing to bet they're all associated, vlad (and his many aliases) and edknot. If not the same person. Basically just a bunch of EastEuroTrash come to America to earn money the only way they know how....by ripping people off.

Now can we put the damn wall back up? Things were so much simpler then.

I still remember the first Russians I ever met. I was in the 7th grade around 91-92 and these two new students were fresh off the boat. They are like a klan of cockroaches nobody can get in their inner circle. We have communities that they invade and they set up there chop shops. They have there own russian yellow pages and the local Bank of America has several tellers that are russian speaking for the sake of them. Salvage cars is their forte they like newer model cars but would never drop the dime for a clean title car. So they buy a wreck 1/4 to 1/3 the price of new and fix it, sport it for awhile, and turn it over to make a quick buck all to do it over again. These crooks get a hand out from our country for food and housing and they exploit us left and right. I don't care if they are ukraine, romania, etc, etc. I lump them all together as russian gypsies.
