Reading Iii

So, How many brave souls will meet up with us at the Third Annual Reading, PA SVX Meet? The first weekend in April, 2002 (April 5,6,7 -- the 5th is for "early bird" arrivals, 6th is day of meet, 7th is breakfast and goodbyes). We'll likely meet at the Morgantown Holiday Inn (as usual) around 10am on the 6th and schmooze for a couple of hours, then, do a little touring action and then find someplace who will accommodate us for dinner. Let's go ahead and start the list now. Just keep copying the names from the list, and add yours as the list progresses. Let's try to get (at least) 25 cars to tie the VT Meet record -- but, I'd love to SURPASS it. Who's on board?

Hmmmm. Not a bad start. (I, of course will expect Svxcess to add his name to the list -- I'd love to see Cocacola and Alanscouse there again -- and where the heck is Shadowyng? -- he could convoy with Alanscouse since they're both from Cleveland.) As I said in my first post, just copy the list and paste it into your reply with your name added to it. That way, we can keep better track of who's coming. Larry, have you been in touch with Unkle Worn? Be sure to get the "Rah Rah" going on the Yahoo site.

BTW Dan. You probably wouldn't look any better in "HOT PINK" that I would. My WIFE will be getting the (rather expensive) SVX Jacket as a Birthday present at Autofest this weekend.

Well almost immediately after I saw that post we got a rather forceful e-mail about venturing to non work-related sites. So I've been laying off at work the last several days. No, Ron, I haven't, but, I think Larry has been in touch with him regarding the "Covered Bridge Tour" for Reading III (darn, I'm already getting excited about it). If he and Sandy show up, we could add 2 more to the list. I'd still like to see OVER 25 cars this year! Yippee!

BTW, Canaan may still be a possibility for me. I'm improving every day! Now if I can get the wife to "let me go", I'll be okay. I'll keep everyone posted.....

Great news, Harry. Hope you can still make Canaan. I'd love to meet your better half. The covered bridge tour should be super (that is if some of those old structures can take a full stream of nearly 4000 lb behemouths rolling over them). Hope to see you in a couple of weeks. If not, see you at Reading III! Keep getting better!

PS: Let's get a few more. We can't stay at 13.

No, I'm not superstitious. Read the earlier post. I WANT AT LEAST 25 FREAKIN' CARS AT THIS MEET!

THAT's why we can't stay at 13.

But if I have to appeal to others' superstition to increase numbers, I'm not above that.

BTW: Brian (Co-pilot at Reading I&II) tied the knot this past weekend. It was a great time for all.

Doug, glad you stopped in. You've been missed.

Don't forget to order some good weather stripping to go along with the insulation. It's an essential element in warming up those cold winters. There's a place in Rockford, IL that makes the best weather stripping I've ever seen. Seals cracks air tight with very little excess material for an excellent fit.
