1) They have been available since September, 2005.
2) You can do pickup but it is in Cumberland Maryland, about 1500 miles away.
Jerrry Wilson (subicrosser) and I talked to Bob,
(Jerry knew him and was the person instrumental in having them produced)
eleven years ago and he agreed to make a mold and produce them, Thanks Bob and Jerry!)

What struts should we be using with this hood?

Struts are a problem. To strong and the hood can crack. And too soft and it will not stay open. I gave up. PO. Owner got his at NAPA. They lasted 2 years. I open the hood and use a small vice grip on the rod cyclinder to hold it open . Or you could go the old fashion route and user a rod.

I remember someone had a solution for them on the lighter hoods, but at the moment I can't recall it.

Use a bad strut. Raise the hood all the way up and drill a hole. Use a hood pin clips with a tethered piece of wire so you have it handy... or a nail...

They look great well packed not a scratch on them shines like a new paint job.

Re: Black fiberglass hood now avilable.

Class Glass and Performance has some new owners, Chris is The Man. Previously the Owner wanted everyone to go through me, and while you still can (three oh one, seven oh seven, three four three seven) You can now go directly to Chris. : ) Phone number; 301-777-3456 Hope that helps. Oh, and shipping is now less than it used to be, so you are most likely under $200.00 for shipping. And, as always, pick up is free.

Re: Black fiberglass hood now avilable.

"Yes I can still get you a Black Fiberglass Hood from Class Glass but the costs have gone up slightly. $445.00 plus box and shipping if necessary.
Expect shipping to be at least $200.00 and about $15-$20 for the box.
I can find out.
Tom
BTW;
(I also found out that he will no longer ship to Canada.)"
