My 2.2 gets about 22.5 or so doing 10 mile trips and that's running on crap gas.

Maybe you guys need to check out your O2 sensors?

Both are less than 6 months old, Subaru OEM.

At least here, it's got to be this cheap additive crazy tree hugging California dreamin' gas. We don't have the outrageous laws they have, but it's the closest refineries.

We need to ship it in from Ohio. It sounds like their refineries are bustin a rhyme. But... That would be about $6 a gallon.

I get pretty standard mileage on 90. Nothing higher is available up here anymore. ):
Damn you and your sufficient octane ratings!

We have 87, 89, and 93 and most stations. Gas just went down again today. Regular was 2.89 and just hit 2.79 today. That's a dime in 5 days. I hope this keeps up.

Here in tennessee cheapest gas is 2.74 at a discount grocery/gas store. My 1998 Ford Ranger 3.0 4x4 took $41 to fill up today because it runs like crap on 87 octane Of course my wifes 1992 Legacy 2.2 still gets 29-34 mpg with a check engine light that has been on for 6 years now The Ranger gets 17mpg Im considering selling it even though I just got it in February. Its killing me financially, although a truck comes in handy.

ever checked the code??? thats odd because the only thing ive seen old legacys throw codes for is knock sensors and they usually mess with gas milage quite a bit... i miss my old 1993 legacy wagon... my mom still has her 1990 wagon (thanks to me for keeping that thing running) it currently has about 180000 miles on the orginal engine and tranny

Check engine light only comes on when its humid or foggy outside and after it has been restarted other than that it runs great and its got 195k on it

We keep going to Meijer and getting gas coupons. The coupons are basically worth $5, since they get you 50 cents off per gallon, up to 10 gallons.

My guess is Walmart, which just moved in across the street, is killing them.

It's down to 2.70 a gal. here for premo. I usually get between 15-20 MPG depending on where I get my gas(it DOES matter) and how I drive. My O2 sensors are only 1 1/2 years old and use to throw a CE light all the time, But once Svxfiles fixed my exhaust, No more light and better gas mileage(even with 4.44's) Check your exhausts for leaks before changing the sensors guys. Mine was leaking AFTER the main cat and I think was causing the CE light when warming up and under load.

My story isn't as cool as paying .274 cents for a gallon of gas. I paid the price of 89 octane and got 91 octane. The gas station I went to ran out of all other grades of gas and only had premium left in the tanks. WoOt.

I wish super was down to $2.75 or so. Regular dropped to $2.77. Super is about $2.95 to $2.99 depending where you go.

On a side note I was watching "Collateral" with Tom Cruise and Jamie Foxx the other night and saw a Shell sign in the background: $1.87 for regular. In Kalifornia! Wow. I love that movie.
