Well it was an S60R that I was considering about 1 year ago. However, those cars are extremely heavy and magazines that reviewed them noted moderate to heavy understeer in the slalom and on the skidpad.

The new Legacy's are great and I'd have it on my shopping list if Subaru still offered it in base form w/ cloth seats - however, it's only available in limited form in '06 which makes leather and the sunroof standard.

I would also consider Forester XT's, but I like the style of the last gen '04-'05 models over the new '06.

go drive one and see why. very smooth power delivery, and with a $650 Accessport (and a gutted downpipe cat / highflow catted downpipe), you'll be seeing 310hp, 350ft-lbs of torque. not too shabby.

i got my LGT for $24.5k brand new - i don't see a turbo H6 going for any less than $40k if Subaru drops it in a future vehicle.

glad i got my '05. i didn't want power seats, black leather in the summer is rough, and i never used the sunroof in the SVX or 928. less stuff to break, and less weight = fastAr. not too keen on the '06's chromed headlight insides, either - i like my '05's blacked-out ones.

ditto. i saw one magazine review talk about the "newer, more aggressive look".

if anything, it looks like a sleepy retard.

Either way, the dealer I'm working with is an hour from my home and in VA so my WRX TR will already have a VA state inspection sticker on it and I'll be able to get VA tags at the dealer. I'm not worried about pinching pennies on this purchase and I'm set on buying from Bill @ Pence Subaru. Great guy and he can have me in and out in 90 minutes or less.

The guy called me on my cell, and I wasn't in the market anyway! I just told you what he said!!

I have very little time to read about things that do not effect me TODAY, so I just have to listen and learn.. The time I have to myself where I don't have to deal with other people, I spend on this site, while the family sleeps, and I chill out so I can get to sleep also..

Sometimes, I learn, sometimes I can share what the world has taught me, and sometimes I just blow off the frustrations of the day!

No matter what, I wish each and every one of you the best on your birthday, or any other day, for that matter.... God Bless..

I'd have to agree.

The previous gen FXT had a much more aggressive design...

Buy the wagon. Much more practical and the same mechanicals as the sedan. The dealer may also be more willing to haggle since they don't move as quickly as the sedans.

you are absolutely correct, however, i couldn't do it.......it looks like a wagon.

now if i had a "Chikey bunch" to haul around, i might reconsider, but i have to look at the thing all the time, so i know i wouldn't buy one, despite the additional versatility.

Sorry. No wagon for me. Moving from a 2 door coupe to a 4 door sedan is a big enough jump for me!
