Are there other transmissions that work in the SVX?

I'm thinking about getting an SVX, but I'm scared of transmission problems. I've heard conflicting reports of Legacy transmissions working in the SVX? Aredubjay doesn't think so (hehe) but other people say they fit? How do you make sure that they go in okay / are there others? What about for FWD models too (not AWD)?
