Agreed. One of my 'dream' cars is the 993 Carrera C4S...

Let's not forget incredible machines like the GT2 and GT3! A nice Turbo 993 or 997 still makes me weak in the knees. The Cayman S is sweet. Just wait until the aftermarket grabs ahold of that one!

Agreed. The GT2 is one crazy fast turbo'd rwd beast...while the n/a rwd goodness of th GT3 is pure heaven of earth!

Those Cayman S's are badass. Aren't they supposed to be slightly faster around the Nurburgring than the 911 Carrera?

The "official" party line is the GT2, then 911 Turbo S, then Carrera 4S, Carrera 2S, Carerra, Caymen S, then Boxster S around the 'ring. But I have seen reports the Cayman S is knocking on the Carerra 2S' back door.

wonder how the Carerra GT would do on teh Ring?

in other news, there are rumors of a 928 replacement coming down the pipe - and not the Panamera - a TWO door.

On Top Gear they say the Cayman is supposed to be exactly half way between a Boxster and a 911. Jeremy Clarkson referred to it as a Boxster coupe...or Coxster

Except that Boxster was a mix of Boxer and Speedster, so a hardtop would be Boxupe, not Coxster.

Chike here is the list of upgrades on the 951 I'm trying to get:

Black on Linen
Cup II replicas wheels 7.5 and 9 x 17 with recent Fuzions.
Recent headgasket with all new gaskets above the head (compression is 130-135 at all 4). The belts will be redone before selling.
Autothority MAF with stage II chips
Tial 38mm with MBC ( installed in Lindsey gauge panel under stereo).
A-pillar gauge pod with Autometer ProComp Boost/Vac gauge and norrowband AFR (I have original a-pillar if you want to remove the gauges.
Momo Trek steering wheel (Original still available) and Momo shift knob with SFR short throw lever.
H&R 220lb front springs (1" lower)
Koni sport rear shocks
Vented stock nose panel.
GT racing front splitter.
Iceshark batery cable set (both positive cables and engine ground along with Cibie E-code lenses with 55/60 bulbs).
Pioneer DEH-4700 Cd player (Includes aux input cable for I-pod or satellite radio)with 4x6 Planet Audio speakers in the doors and 6x9 in the rear cubbies.

You saw how nice the under hood looks. I'll have to price a strut tower brace to tighten up the front even more. The only thing the inside needs is the two front seats have some tears in the leather.

you need to go to the Porsche Swap Meet in Hershey - you can get some new seats there, and other stuff. i usually come away with a nice hangover.

My Dad was into old cars and restored a 1955 Olds Super 88 Holiday 2dr and a 1968 Olds 98 2dr, so we went to Hersey often. My father-in-law has a 1937 Ford street rod and also frequent's the meets. Now I get a reason to go for me!!!
