I'm curious
Will the Tribeca engine fit into the SVX? Or would it be a hassle/impossible to do?

Re: I'm curious
As far as I know, it hasn't been done yet. If you want to do it, don't even bother trying to use the Tribecca ECU/harness. It is so tied into all the systems of the car that you will be tangled in a wiring nightmare.
The simplest way to do it would be a standalone ECU to run the engine and a manual transmission.

Re: I'm curious
What he said ^^^.
Will it drop in? Yep. Will it fit? Yep. Will it bolt up to a transmission? Yep. Will making it actually work be a collosal pain in the ass? Oh hells yep. That being said, I'd love to see an EZ36 swap into an SVX with a 6-speed. There's one on Ebay for ~$3000.

A 3.6 to my understanding is physically smaller because it uses smaller diameter pistons which means you can get higher revs but there is less torque per cylinder. That would be on a N/A engine add forced induction and that could change quickly. |
