fixed antenna mod

i remember there was a post on the fixed antenna mod but i cant find it, doesnt anyone remember it?

its called going through a touch wash with it up I know mibe was in a fixed position after i did that haha

it all buffs out I work at a body shop full time and the only damage I ever see from touch washes is when they rip **** off haha and the occasional carwash sensor being off and the arms hitting the car.

my fear is the dirt and stuff that gets wiped off other cars there will be traces on it still so when it wipes your car it scratches the surface slightly now add that over all the times you drive through, i worked with a guy who never let a car wash brush touch his car, it was over 10yrs old the paint still looks mint from factory

We have Brush less car washers here and they blow dry the car . Touchless Car Wash . This is not fixing the guys Antenna. I understand the shaft is on longer available

My silver SVX had one of those inexpensive, aftermarket fixed antennas when I bought the car. I replaced it with a used OEM unit and recall that the installation of the former was fairly straightforward.
