Happy Birthday SVX

Mine anyway, 15 years old and still kicking. I just got my classic plates today! Hello cheap insurance, goodbye inspection and emission stickers. I didn't expect to get the plates so quickly, it only took a week through my title and tag place. If you plan on sending away for them, I'd highly recommend it.

Re: Happy Birthday SVX

I wish they did it that way here, Oregon's historic vehicle plates, the car has to be like 30 years old or somethign like that, and you can only drive it for like, car shows, parades, etc, like less than 1200 miles a year. But it's a one-time fee to get the plates, and they are "permanent" meaning there is no renewal or anything.

Re: Happy Birthday SVX

Sorry Michael but in PA classic still means inspections and emissions (though you'll be exempt if under 5000 miles a year). Antique means no inspection or emissions testing. Just don't get caught driving it to/from work as it'll cost you I think about $500 as I heard the legislation passed raising the fine!

Thanks for the heads up, the guy I take my car to for inspections said just rip the old one off. Guess he didn't know the difference between classic & antique.
