Concerned about temperatures
I've just been looking at logs from my Carchip (if you have an OBDII SVX, get one!) and I'm getting a little concerned about my under-hood temperatures.
Typically, I'm seeing the temps hovering around 200-210 degrees pretty consistently. Now that we're getting to the hot part of the year (August in St. Louis... joy...) I'm seeing spikes as high as 220. Now I realize I'm just a worry-wart, but these are the highest spikes I've seen in the time I've owned this car. Of course, since I've had the Carchip installed I've not really been driving in the summer much... I had dying fans for a while. I digress... Should I be concerned about this? Over 200 degrees and I start to get a little concerned. Could it be time for a new radiator? Any technical thoughts greatly appreciated.

Under hood or water temp?
200-220 really isn't that bad. The anti-freeze and pressure keep your coolant from boiling at that point. Much further though and you might want to investigate as to why it's getting so warm. Maybe the thermostat is malfunctioning.

I think it's safe to say that the reading on the coolant temp gauge is all that matters.
