Question Select Monitor ECU question

Okay, got a long shot

I am trying to get the select monitor software that this guy wrote to work on my 91 SVX

http://www.vwrx.com/index.php?pg=selectmonitor

I can get my ROM ID (722525) using the software. The trick is you have to figure the hexadecimal address's that the select monitor parameters live in.

I have tried all the profiles they have for other Subaru's but the SVX is differant of course!

Does anyone have access to this info. Its a very cool tool especially for carputer applications.

thanks John

Thumbs up

Hi. Welcome to the site - and what a great first post!

I don't have the answer to your question, but I have to say well done on finding that software. I've been looking for something like that for years. The closest I found was this guy in Japan. http://kaele.com/~kashima/car/index-e.html

What is needed now is a lot of painstaking trial and error to find the parameter addresses. It's a matter of reading the data, changing one of the inputs to the ECU (unplugging a sensor for example), then reading again and comparing the output to see at what addresses the data has changed.

If you manage to find the information, please share it with us.

Phil.

thats the key but its tougher than it looks. There are a lot of memory address's and a lot of the data look quite similar. If we can find one easy one like the RPM it seems the others will be nearby!

Now just to find one. I have about 5 hours in it and no luck yet

I want to play with this, but I don't have the time. It would be cool to have a carputer and screen showing all the engine stats.
