this tank, the svx has been almost exclusively for commuting. the round trip mileage is about 41 miles and mostly 50mph highway drive. the drive to work is an elevation change of about 2300 ft (5800 to 8100), but there are no hills.

i made a slight detour, so i didn't get to the refueling station until 494.6 miles. the low fuel light did come on as soon as i fired him up and the gauge appeared to drop rapidly. i was getting a little nervous, but when i got the gas station, it only accepted 15.990 gallons which equates to 30.932 mpg. best tank in 11 months!

if only it were that simple. the grade is less than 2% the enitre trip. the sensor must be in the back of the gas tank which seems to be backwards to me. so many things do not make sense with this car and i'm okay with that.

speaking of freight train....guess what happens when 2 trains tries to take the same route...this happened last night in taschereau yard in montreal.

The wagon on the left is way off track , it hit the train at about 5 miles per hour ,it made it fell completly on the side...look at the wagon behind , it is the same model but straight....
