Return to Motorsports racing
As some (or many) of you know, I have previous competed many years successfully and accomplished in NHRA bracket racing in Division 6. I have taken a King of the Track NHRA event, many Import and Sport Compact track championships, runner up in the Pepsi Nightfire Nationals, and been to division finals on several occasions by qualifying top four to represent my track. Due to health issues inside my family circle, I had to hang up the keys for a few years and as the heath issues have sadly passed in death, I am really wanting to "distract" myself by my return to the winners circle. I fired up the race SVX a couple weeks back and put it on the trailer as it needs a motor swap. The years of racing plus age of daily driving for a quarter million miles before full on racing, has taken its toll. I have a lower miles donor car I plan to transplant the engine from and sadly run stock for one more year just to make sure both myself and the car have retained a competitive reaction time and predictable ET. I tried with my daily driver Imreza last year, but with all the newer emissions and computer variables, it was all over the place with ET and not a worthy option. I have been looking at the budget and I think I have found a competitive form of motorsports that will not break my budget and the wallet is in compliance with... Looking for sponsors

Re: Return to Motorsports racing
Not silly at all Chris,
A lubrication sponsor could be a viable option. LOL I have always admired your attitude towards competition by pointing this towards driver ability, rather than expensive machinery. Whatever you tackle, the best of luck and enjoyment. Cheers, Trevor.

Re: Return to Motorsports racing
I watched the whole Rally series as well as the following Ferrari series. Was epic fun... great time waster when you dont want to shampoo the carpets.
