Re: SVX LED Taillights

Wow they sure look nice. Would you say they are a nice full red? I've seen some cars where the tails look a little orangy or pink. What do you think?

Yeah, I am very impressed with how Chris does his work and how he can make them so straight and fill the housings nicely.

The lights are pretty red - a lot more red than the pictures make them look. Hopefully on video it will be more accurate.

I'd say at least, if not more, red than the OEM bulbs are, but still not quite as pure red as the OEM third brake light. I'll have to look again at night though.

Re: SVX LED Taillights

Hope I'm catching enough pictures for everybody.

If you haven't caught on to my "labelling" system yet, each post of pictures has a title in bold at the top stating which lights are being tested and what the outdoor lighting/weather conditions are. Yes, in "real life" I am an analyst.

Don't worry, more are on the way, it just takes me a while to whittle down the 150+ I have already taken, reduce the size, post them to the site, and copy the links over.

Re: SVX LED Taillights

Trunk Interior

Extra non-OEM wiring after install - the red/black w/white plug will NOT be on the final product, this is where the prototype plugs into the center light section. The gold resistor is currently hanging down inside the "light hole", but will be mounted somewhere back there.

The gold resistor allows the turn signal to blink at normal speed - one on each side.

Re: SVX LED Taillights

Any chance for a variable speed option for the turn signals?

Re: SVX LED Taillights

Unfortunately, no. I am just going to keep it the same speed as the OEM turn signals.
