If you shoot paint-balls or paint the other car, you can get arrested for willful damage to the property.

Rob, since you know what it is like to drive in the big city, do what the other students on the board do. Get a beater car for school and save the SVX for weekends. Yeah it stinks driving a POS when you could be driving the SVX but look at the cost and agravation using the SVX for school causes you. Would be a lot cheaper to get a $500 beater with the lowest insurance than risking your beloved SVX. Hey, I love my wife and would never take her into a seedy bar on the bad end of town. I only take her to nice places where she will be safe and comfortable. It's a good rule to live your life by.

Okay, now if we slow down and put your two pieces of logic together, Johnny, we come up with this: You have an extra "beater wife" (or mistress, I presume) that you take to the seedy bars on the bad end of town?

HAHAHAH! I was on the phone with a customer when I read that one. Nearly busted out laughing in their ear!

Whatever you do don't even insinuate that to my wife! You'll get me in all kinds of trouble.

I'm also for getting a beater as well. $130/month = $4/day for peace of mind...then you only have to worry about door dings.

Lwin, you wouldn't be trying to bait me would you?

you could use the water based paint...

or you could use a special paint that would only show with black light..

if the guy hit your car...got shot with a paint ball because he hit your car...whose problem is that?

Kelli

isn't a hit and run a higher offense?

Would you please remove SVX jr. after Dodge Omni. It just isn't right. XT's are only aloud to be refered to as SVX jr.'s. OK.

Doug,

Subafreak is correct. The Dodge Omni and/or Plymouth Horizon started as a Simca. I belive it was the Simca 17 but don't hold me to that. Simca was a French car mostly owned by Chrysler.

PS: if youse guys in Wisconsin need parts, I can call soma da boys I know from the "Kitchen".

The Simca was marketed over here as a "Simca" in the late '50's early '60s. SOMEBODY had to compete with the Renault Dauphine!

Well... the good news is I'll have my own parking spot starting in august... so that'll be cool. No more morons running into me.

Secondly, I do want to get a beater... I sorta need one anyway when my SVX will be in the shop, it'd be nice if my fiance had her own form of transportation... and well, the SVX sucks gas. Hopefully I can find a derelict 95 neon with 200,000 miles or something for under a grand. :P

>sigh<

Oh well. At least I have an SVX, although it's getting beat up, it's still better than any other car I can think of.

there are Neons with 200,000 miles on them?
hate to say it, but Hondas make nice beaters - they can be had for cheap and run forever with few problems. just don't rice it!
