first snow, first slide

coming home from work tonight (got our first snow here) and went into a 4-wheel slide down a small hill. bend at the bottom, with houses approaching. i stood on the brakes - the ABS went off <bap bap bap bap bap bap!!!> and finally got some grab. scary!
don't forget that AWD don't go on ice. be careful out there, folks!
nevermind if you're in Florida, Texas, NZ, etc.......

What a bummer. We expected 6" today and got barely enough to cover the grass.

Got my Grand Wagoneer plow ready last night (I plow in style ), started up both the 5hp and 12hp blowers just for giggles, all for nuthin. And found out my skiing buddy damaged his knee wrestling with his 11 year old son. I guess I will be skiing alone on Friday.

Winter is here finally!

Matt

There is nothing to rub in. I would rather "freeze" on skis, and then sit in front of my fire place sipping Margueritas, any day. And I don't have to deal with the extreme heat all summer. Plus, we get a nice Fall with the great "foilage", and a Spring where everything just bursts with color. Oh, and let's not forget the Summer at the beach when we can actually walk on the sand without blistering our feet. I could never give up the "Four Seasons". Vive la difference!

Ah, the age-old argument. Well, I'll bite.

Florida, huh? You can friggin' have it! I'll take snow any day over a Florida summer.

i almost stopped in a lot last night to do that. i always find an empty lot every winter and practice some winter driving and sliding. its not fun, just practice - and i'd NEVER do something silly like doughnuts
