price paid for SVX

I got mine in 1997 w/35,000 mi. on it. Driven by a lady who had passed away, and only drove it back and forth to work. Like 35mph!!! all the time. I had the car about a year before it went into lockup at about 40mph. I paid 15,600.00 w/ an extended warranty. This summer my 17yr old daughter drove the SVX under a chain link fence and did 8,000 in damage it goes in on Oct.7th for a three weeks of body work. But, it should be perfect when it comes back.

Got mine in November for $4200. '92 w/ 98,000 at time of purchase. Everything worked except there was no rear ashtray. 3 months later, tranny rebuild = $2700. Originally I got a good deal. After the tranny I now think I just bought a car.

Still delighted I did it!

I know of someone 6 blocks from my home that has a black 97, 110,000 miles. Tried to sell it for $11,000.00 in the last month but changed his mind. It was at the local Subbie dealer recently and I asked about it and they say it is extremely well cared for but not as well as the other black 97 he keeps in his garage and seldom drives. I see him every once in a while in the garaged keeped one and the car still has dealer tags on it. It has a few miles on it but I believe its never been titled. Wonder if it still carries a new car warranty if it does get titled?

Back in June 02, I paid $15,600 for an Ebony Pearl 97 with 53k miles, new clutch plates, rear brakes, 60k service, in mint condition except for 3 minor door dings and usual hood paint wear. One female owner car with all service records.

for those of you that were interested in my warr, i got it as part of the purchase of the car. it came with a 6 month and i purchased another 1 1/2. so that cost me an extra 300. it will be worth it when i breakdown, heck, it even has towing and labor. CARS is good for what i know about my last car, i think mine now is PENN. i don't know how you can get them now. my mechanic has info on it, and i think you can go to a used car lot and get them, but i am not sure. goodluck in your search!

How much did I pay? Too much. The passion overcame me.

$6500 in Aug '02 for a '92 LS-L with spoiler, all maintenance records, original tranny and bearings, and 95K miles. The car is in excellent shape - original owner bought it when he was 65 and traded it for a Lincoln when he was 73. The second owner, whom I bought it from, is a car nut and took very good care of it.

If I'd been on this forum, I would have bargained harder with the PO.

But I love the car.

Mine's a '95, bought new in '97. One of the salesladies drove it for a bit and then put in on the back of the lot and forgot about it. $19,100 with approximately 3,000 miles. No CD/leather/sunroof. Who need's 'em, I say!

At over 133,000 miles and nothing but minor maintenance (and a rear transmission seal), it's still my dream car. I've had it for 5 1/2 years, longer than I've ever kept a car, more miles than I've ever had on a car, and it's been the best purchase I've ever made. I drive it daily, and it's a rare occasion that I don't walk backwards in to work, or whatever. I just can't take my eyes off it. Most folks just don't understand. I'm glad I'm here.

I don't deserve this car.

$7400 for 1992 with 64k.
Purchased in Jun of 2001

New transmission, bearings, 60k tuneup, etc.

Front passenger window switch is non-functional, tires were garbage, paint was very good, but the leather was slightly cracked at the side of the front seats. In general, well maintained.
