Question 02 question

hoping someone can clear this up for me. the question is: what would most likely cause a known good 02 sensor to set a code indicating slow response? thanks dennis

Re: 02 question

Is it fullly seated, is the tailpipe clogged before or after it, is your SVX pouring raw gasoline across it?

Those are the main things I know of that piss off the newer Subaru ECU's in regards to 02 sensors.

Re: 02 question

thanks for the reply xt6.i'll have a look at those spots and make sure they are ok to rule them out. i'm also getting a pretty good leak on the rocker cover on the right side as well so when i change the gaskets i'll have a look around at the 02 wires thats the side i'm getting the code on. thanks for the tips. dennis

Re: 02 question

not positive but i believe if you are leaking oil onto the connection of the 02 sensor then that could cause the MIL to become illuminated.
