Judging by the side markers, spoiler, and the fact that he said he ordered it from Japan... I'd say yes.

?

I have only ever heard of one LHD Japanese registered car. Darren mentioned it, and so far as we know some footballer or baseball player in California bought it.

What makes you think the car is LHD? There is nothing to indicate it is anything other than standard jdm which would be RHD.

Hello Koveras. That's a good looking car. I like that wing much, much better than the U.S. (looks-like-an-ill-fitting-afterthought) version.

Oh, oops. When I see "JDM" and "...hand-drive" in the same sentence, my brain shuts off.

That's a good point Gene, but I would be willing to bet it is RHD. Koveras no doubt could sort it out in a minute if he is looking in.

As ALL SVXs were assembled in Gunma in Japan, there is no reason that one of the US cars off the assembly line could not be bought and registered by a Japanese person I suppose.

For that matter there is also no reason why a Japanese person could not have registered a LHD car that was destined for one of the continental Europe markets.

However, that Japanese spoiler was never destined for any market other than Japan so I strongly suspect this particular car is RHD.

That reminds me; I purchased a Swiss SVX brochure circa 1993 this week. It verifies the chart on 4EAT markets kindly translated by Nomake Wan. The Swiss market got the VTD gearbox, while the corresponding and very similar German brochure shows the car coming with the US style rear-assist gearbox.

Strange one, that. Unexpected.

It's a RHD. 1993 year. E-CXW. There is no 4WS option. And I don't like stock rims so I replaced with 17". Have a ecotune v1 chip but it is not yet installed. Hmmm, about foto... if you don't like me you can cut off my face with photoshop and replace with yours.. hehe

If it's JDM I don't think the ECUtune chip is going to do anything. In fact, I don't think there's even a ROM slot for it.

Very nice ride. But then, I'm partial to the Ebonies.
I like the spoiler because of its placement and integration with the trunk. Seems to flow better than mine, which sits on top. Why would they make one style trunk for JDM and another for North America?
Now, how much for and where can I find a JDM trunk??
