considering parting out AGAIN for a great cause

rather than repar my svx, what if I just bought a second one!

if I part out or sell my claret, I have enough to buy an all black svx with only 83k w/ a new transmission. in fact it's 2.4k...less than what I paid for my claret.

who needs parts? but realy....watcha guys think?

Honestly, if you can't afford to fix one that has rather minor problems, and can barely afford insurance, then odds are you wont have the money to take care of the new one. You'd be overextending yourself to say the least...
Nobody will want to buy your car whole with suspension damage for over...Im going to guess 1k..Putting you 1.5k i the hole for the "new" car. Im sure you MIGHT get 2k from parting it, but it'll take so freakin long, the car in question will have already sold, and you'll have to buy some beater to get to work anyway.

Just fix your damn car already

I'll second the parts car taking a while to sell, 2k will take months.

Also, parting out a perfectly restorable SVX is something of a cardinal sin here. Whether you accept the responsibly or not parting out an already rare car when there is no need is always a disappointing thing. They aren't making any more of them.

Fix your car, then sell it, then get another.

hahaha... what can I expect here? I already agreed to buy the parts and fix it. don't worry... I will protect an endangered species!

I will fix my car this month, buy the new svx the next month, then decide if 2 is too many.
but I think... svx 2 is found =)

ill be one of those guys with multiple svxs in his sig soon.

I know where they are.

Back on topic: Yeah parting your car would be rather pointless as I can guarantee you wont get 2k for parts because not very many people here will buy parts from you, sure you'll sell little things like the window switch and other sorts but nothing that will bring you big $$$. And after you've sold little things like that your stuck with a car that you cant use.
