I Bought it, I'm a new SVX owner

Well I bought the Blue 95 SVX from my previous "Should I buy it"
thread. I looked at every thing that the people in that thread advised,
and for the most part the car looks good,

The only major issue we could find was bad CV joints in front, and they
will be replaced next week. along with the timing belt.

I have already taken the car down and had the engine oil, and the gear lube in both the front and rear diff's replaced with synthetics, and had the transmission fluid flushed out and replaced.

Although the transmission shifted quite well, the fluid was not pretty. and I am thinking about adding an external tranny filter as well as a cooler. The
shop was very nice and flushed the fluid through about 4 times before filling it up. The fluid on the dipstick is now a healthy reddish pink.

Also I am thinking about getting the ECUTune stage one Chip kit, it would
be nice to be able to run regular unleaded when I need to and still have
the performance with just a change of gas and the flip of a switch.
Any one have any experiences with this kit they'd like to share?

It is missing the trim around the radio and the rubber stuff that hides the
works under the gear shift. and the gear select indicator in the console
does not work, but the one in the dash works just fine.

The exterior has just normal rock dings, no major dents, and when I was
having the fluids replaced they let me walk down in to the pit and look at
the car from the bottom, and I found no rust, and no leaks.

Congrat to your new purchase! Are you happy? Show us some pictures.


The tranny fluid in my teal svx doesn't look as new...I also don't want to drive the car try to not hurt if anything. I will drive it after I change new fluid and its filter.

Btw, check Ebay frequently. They're lots of SVX trim pieces that go up for auction.
