I plan on arriving around 4:30 right when the gates open. This way I can get in 2-3 N/A runs before I do any gas powered runs. I can also setup my Mr. Dyno as I want to get some real world results of my cams install if I ever get around to that. I will bring your helmet and a couple coil packs. I am geading out from Jersey.

Sounds good, would you want to meet here or somewhere along the way?? I may have a couple people who want to come as well. Oh and as of 10 later today, that crack in my windscreen will no longer shave any tenths off as I am getting a new one installed Thanks Mike621!!

Depends on which way your going. If your coming down to 40 I can meet you there. If your going to take the AC I can meet you at the rest stop just north of it, or if our taking some other route that I dont know I can meet you there.

Mike, have you checked your alternator voltage at high rpm?

I had the entire system tested. I'm showing a bad battery, but the alternator is testing good. I have a marine grade gel cell battery that I got in 04. I think it may have a bad cell. It's still under warranty so I'll get it replaced on Friday when I get back to Delaware.

I was thinking that the coil failures might be from too high a voltage at high rpms, or possibly that the engine is twisting under boost and not maintaing a good ground.
You can never have too many ground wires.

An aftermarket ground system is on the list of "To Do" items along with 5 million dollars in other modds.

You can install a decent grounding kit for little $$$ ($10-$15) and in very little time (10-15 minutes). I just ran two grounding wires from the -ve terminal on my battery to different grounding locations in my engine bay.

One ground was on a metal bar at the side of the a/c compresser (that attached to the engine) - which the belt cover bolts into. The other ground was to a bolt located behind the factory horns that attached to the frame of the car.

Be sure to leave enough slack in the wires for engine movement.

Tom, Mike has been equipt with Groun N motor mounts and trans mount. There should not be very much movement at all. It is possible that he needs a better ground. I noticed on several of the cars I have worked on, the ground strap on the pitch stop was either broken or melted away. I cannot recall on Mike's car. Mike, If you want I have several feet of 8 or 4 gauge terminal wire from when I had my battery in the trunk of my ebony. I can pick up some terminals for it and install some custom ground wires when u get here. won't take more than 10 minutes

Tom
