Brake Master Cylinder question

I notice the part number changes over the years for our SVX. Does anyone know the differences?

My main question is if I need to replace the one on my 1992 would the 1997 version work and would it be an improvement?

I'll probably end up getting the rebuild kit but I'm still curious.

I can get you a 92 master... There is no difference over the years except for the L model w/o abs.

How much and is it confirmed working?

I'm still leaning towards the repair kit.

Thanks for the advice. It does go against my goal of upgrading anything I replace. I would wonder if a WRX/STi booster and/or master cylinder would be an upgrade or downgrade from the stock SVX equipment.

While the rest of the components are standard, the standard master cylinder will suit it the best. If the caliper piston size is changed, then the MC size should change to suit them.
