Day 22, 23, 24 . . . -- Beyond Ridiculous!

Just before Steve, Beav and I left for lunch, I called the tranny shop. After a good while on hold, I was told that the tranny was out of the vehicle and would be the "next one they work on." "So, how many more days? Do you have any idea?" asks I. A rather long silence ensued. "Well, give us a couple of days, and, if we don't have to order any parts or anything, we may have it done yet this week." He sounded as though this was a GOOD thing -- like, as if to hear me say, "Wow, that quick, huh?" If I may borrow a curse word from Mork -- SHOZBOT!!!!!

So, any way you cut it, these guys are going to equal, if not surpass the 24 days the car was there the last time. Fool me once . . . well, I'll just put it this way, Shame On ME!!

Anybody wanna buy a 2002 Dodge Stratus. I'm sure I'll own it by the time I finally get to drive my SVX.

I take comfort in the fact that I am not the only one laying in bed awake at 3AM wondering when I will get back behind the wheel of an svx.

that was evil svxter.....

randy. relax. you will get your car back. all this belly aching is justified but it is only going to make things worse. they can not feasibly keep the damn thing forever. you will get back.

my car will be in pieces tomorrow. apparently i have some stupid seal in my tranny that is leaking a little tranny fluid. $58 part with $130 in labor, not to mention the $90 in labor for the stupid axle. all told i will be spending $278 plus tax on my car sometime this week.

ahhhh......another glorious day in svx land.

love is expensive!

I drive her's when we go out on the weekend but it's not the same (some of you must understand that - the rest will think I am very ill) I think I'd have completely lost it by now if I couldn't. The toyota takes me back and forth to work. It hurts to get in the toyota on monday morning. I have to get this car fixed soon - I really hate slowing down when I get to a curve in the road.

To bo honest with you all (without stealing Randy's thunder about his missing SVX), out of the 10 months that I have owned my 94, for 2 months, it was in the shops. I guess 80% is not bad but it does take time to get the job done on this car.

As for Randy. I know how you feel. 2 months is 60 days. In a year, 60 days is a lot. I hope your car gets fixed soon. Until then, if you are forming a lynch mob, count me in. I need to let some steam out.

I will get it back, I know. But, DAMN, this is getting annoying (plus, I've been dealing with some personal issues in the middle of it all -- so, I've been a little more than worn out). Besides, I've still got you beat on costs . . . with the rental car alone.

Tell me about it. Come to think about it Randy, the last rental i drove was a 2001 Grand Prix. Damn I hated that thing. I guess I like the finer things in life.

rental cost

I turned my rental in today because I worked out a deal with my brother to use his 98' outback until I get my SVX back. It will be so nice to have AWD again. The Toyota had too many problems with chirpping the tires and torque steering for my taste.

Total for my rental(2002 Totota Solara): $441.00 After taking out what my insurance company would pay

For you other Pa. drvers........... Remember to thank Bob Casey the next time you rent a car. Because of him we get to pay an extra $2.00 a day to give to the state Cost me an addittional $40.00+ because of his lil' tack on

B.C.

P.S. <trying to sound optomistic> Randy, Hang in there. Just think how much more excited you will be when you get to drive your pearlie again especially after not having it for sooooooooooo long

Thank you, Ken. I'll expect a transfer from Fort Knox by the end of the week.
