Water Pump Question...
I'm going to begin replacement of my timing belt/water pump tonight, but I didn't order the pump gasket! DOH! Is this something I can pick up at someplace other than the dealer or have shipped from Subaru Parts? Thanks...

The pump didn't come with the gasket?
Come to think of it I don't think mine did either. Thermostat did though.

In my opinion, even if you find parts, any parts for the SVX other than OEM, don't buy it, always stick to original... Unless you want to modify...

Well, the parts are at my house, I'm at work. I'm guessing it didn't come with the gasket, as Subaruparts lists it as a seperate part. I did order the thermo gasket though...and I'm kicking myself.
Yea, I'd opt for OEM too Spear, but this has been a week from hell and I just want to get working on the beast!

Water Pump Gasket
You should be able to pick up one at your local dealer for less than $5 or we could send you one for $2 plus postage but I am not sure where you are located. The gasket for the SVX is the same as most other models so every dealer should stock plenty of them.
Thanks, Jackie |
