I like to think that I understand girls pretty well, i've been through an awful lot with them, and i'm usually pretty good at conversing with them and giving advice about them. With that said, girls who drive insano cars (especially in sanctioned events), really perplex me. There must be something, maybe even at the DNA level, that is "not right" about them. Not that i'm complaining, i'd love to have one of these "car girls", but i'm just saying that it just doesn't fit the standard issue female line.

There is a girl over on the LS1 board that built (almost completely by herself) an all aluminum 427ci LS6 T88 turbo motor for her 2000 Camaro SS. That alone is one hell of a feat, but she also races this car in many sanctioned events and also helped to organize the 2005 Power Tour. To add to all this, she is insanely hot. Where do these women come from?

More than likely your use of the word conversing should be replaced with the word pleading.

And just how many times have you been dumped in say the last two year's?..

You'll have to go back alot further than that. I've been with my current girl for over 5 years now. Before that, i couldn't even tell you how many I went through. Alot. But you learn a little from each one. They are not as clever as they seem to think they are.

Thumbs up Here are a few pics...

...of the Zzyzx Motorsports car at the USTCC Race at Hallett on 9/17-9/18. Their car ended up retiring during the race due to spark plug and fuel issues.

I don't think this project was a failure, it just needs further adjustments

Post

This went up on the Zzyzx website yesterday, and posted on NASIOC today to answer questions about their claimed power output:

September 26, 2005

Zzyzx Motorsports Impreza 2.5 RS - engine modification list
To keep the Subaru community informed of what we've done to break the 300 HP mark for a naturally aspirated 2.5L Subaru Flat-4 as outlined in our previous press release, we're including a list of modifications that helped get us there. Please understand, however, that not every detail is or will be disclosed about this engine as we feel it's inappropriate to do all the ground work, then give the entire receipe to those that didn't put in the time, money and effort it takes to achieve such results.

Mod list:

Subaru OEM 2005 2.5 RS spark plug wires
Subaru OEM 2005 2.5 RS coilpack
Subaru OEM 2005 2.5 RS fuel rail
Subaru OEM 2005 2.5 RS intake manifold
Subaru OEM 2003 WRX fuel injectors
NGK BKR6E-11 V-power spark plugs (copper)
Accufab 65mm Ford Mustang throttle body
TWE Stage III heads
TWE Stage II SOHC street cams
TWE 100mm 11.2:1 CR forged pistons
TWE 4-2-1 race headers (large primaries)
TWE 2.5" catless race pipe
TWE 2.5" midpipe
255 LPH Walbro fuel pump
Aeromotive fuel pressure regulator
Link Electrosystems LinkPlus engine management
108 Octane race gas
No muffler
No air filter - open throttle body

Misc:

Idle air control is achieved using a Ford OEM IAC solenoid.
Throttle position sensor on TB is Ford OEM.
Throttle linkage was custom fabricated by Zzyzx Motorsports.
Adapter plate to bolt Accufab 65mm TB to intake manifold custom fabricated by TWE.
Engine oil is Motul 300V 15-50.
Transmission and rear diff oil is Redline Shockproof Lightweight (smurf blood).

Tuning:

All tuning was done by Jake Diehl at Dieman Motorsports in Lees Summit, MO.
The dyno is an MD Mustang IMP dynomometer.

Here's what zzyzx said in response to my question on NASIOC:

1) Stock pistons are 99.5mm and we're running the TWE 100mm pistons. So, yes, the total displacement is under 2500cc.

2) Yes.
