Flexplate Issue

Has anyone come upon a company that has a stronger flexplate than the stocker,I just had the tranny replace 6 weeks ago and my flexplate is rattling.I think aamco used the old plate but they are searching also for a better flexplate.

Significant Technical Input
Flexplates generally only break from two things - excessive crankshaft end-play and/or distorted/out-of-balance torque convertors. A stronger flexplate will only cause something else (read: something more expensive) to break.

The stock flexplate isn't very beefy, but I'm convinced it can handle as much power as your NOS system can dish out. LAN has a 4EAT with a stock flexplate in his test car, and it has withstood the power from his Stage II dyno run and Stage 3 system. Svxfiles also uses a 4EAT in his s/c SVX and he has no issues.

This cracked flexplate is the result of someone not propperly installing the torque converter into the transmission.
