reliable, late model, and cheap
yeah yeah yeah
been posting lately about some non-svx cars only because more and more things are going wrong with the svx... i'm going to send it off to phil's mechanic in like a week to get a mini restoration job... but in the meanwhile i'm looking for a cheap, reliable, late model (96+?)car ( i know i posted about the sho, but i'm having second thoughts because of reliability issues).... if its peppy, its a plus... any thoughts? been looking at focus, echo, escort zx2!?, saturns? i dunno, just need something that i know won't break down on me.... argh!! suggestions? again, AFFORDABLE is a must... most of the cash is getting dumped into the svx at the speed of light

Any late 90's Kia or Hyundai will be cheap and extremely reliable so long as routine maintenance was done by the previous owner.

Agreed. The twin cam engines in late 90's saturns are infamous for burning oil like crazy. I'd stay clear of them...

Corollas and Camrys are fantastically reliable cars.

id say a mitsu miage ls coupe. they arent too bad. we have a de coupe, and the ls is a little quicker. nothin has gone wrong with the mirage. its a 97 and we got it for less that 3500. not to mention it gets about 33 mpg city and nearly 45 highway
