Exclamation A whole forum full of Trevors!!

Now, granted, they're arguing objectivist philosophy.. but their taunts and mannerisms are exactly the same! It's incredible! A whole forum dedicated to mindless bickering over semantics and calling the innate intelligence of one's opponent into question! It's a perfect Oxford debating society.

Check it out... it may not be argument on arcane points of electrical theory, but their insistence that each and every one of them are intellectual supermen reminded me so much of our Trevor that I had to post it.

Here, check this out, a quote from one of their little debates:
Quote:
I already stated I will not sanction your irrationality any further. Trying to taunt or bait me will not change that determination because it does not change the nature of YOUR discourse. It REMAINS irrational. It remains ANTI-philosophy.

I would explain more, but since you reject philosophy in favor of science not based ON philosophy (ie without any laws or basis) there is, as I have stated numerous times now, no means of rational discourse with you.

In the future, I recommend you read the subject matter that was suggested above (ESPECIALLY since the ANSWERS to the questions are provided there - ie the double slit experiment. As has been stated, and should be obvious to any rational individual, a forum is NOT a school. One CANNOT teach you *here* what you do not know. We can ONLY point you in the right direction. Your refusal to go in that direction and your petulant and ANTI-logical demands to be taught *here* instead only solidify the case AGAINST you).

So - until you DO apprise yourself of these materials, your words are not even hot air.
It's hilarious stuff. Read more at http://forum.objectivismonline.net/i...hp?showforum=2

I really dig objectivism. Honestly - I really do. But unfortunately so many people have really perverted it. They refuse to question anything.

You're right - it's funny. But at the same time, I find it really sad that so many people, who claim to ascribe to the philosophy, have completely missed the point.

I thought the point of philosophy is that there is no point? Isn't that the purest form of questioning everything?

I think objectively debating objectivity is like the tolerant's inability to tolerate the intolerant. Don't you?

The funny thing is that its so tainted already the only thing I could do would help clear it up. But that would mean change, and change is bad, when it comes to religon.
