Rotor Question...

Does anyone know about the quality of these rotors?

Thanks.

ive seen those rotors on ebay for months. it seems to me that they are not unlike any other standard rotor you would find at your local perf. shop, and they have a warantee. the seller seems to specify its for the svx, which is a good sign. i would take into consideration these things and figure out if thats what you want. if you think thats a good price for a full set, bid on them or buy them or whatever.
dont forget to shop around as well.

They look pretty slick, but is there any reason why you would want these over standard replacement rotors? Crossdrilling doesn't get you much in terms of performance. In fact, in some cases they can be detrimental to cooling as they allow the air which normally travels down the vent path to exit the rotor before traversing the entire vent path. These rotors are most definitely standard replacement rotors that have been crossdrilled by someone who has a machine shop with a CNC. You could probably get a set of standard replacement rotors for less than $120, and you would never have to worry about cracking due to crossdrilling. Just my $0.02. :-)

Dimple drilled (~1/8 inch deep) are available from other companies. This does not interupt the air flow or weaken the rotor.

I got a set of these rotors and a set of ceramic pads, and I'm thrilled with them. What a difference. I can lay on the brakes from 100mph, and it just dives to a stop with no fade and awsome pedal feel.
And I still haven't installed my ss lines yet.

When I got the rotors, they were a "buy it now" for $235.

just my 2 cents.

I got rotors from the same ebay guy you did. I ended up with bradi rotors and had them only slotted with no drilling. I have been very happy with them - After new pads and brake fluid I have not been able to get them to fade. I think I also payed $235 for all 4.

Still happy?

Suby,

Are you still pleased with your rotors? The time has come for me to purchase, and the same guy has them for $235 a set. Thanks.

I love them. The cad plating has faded slightly in some areas but I cannot complain one bit about the stopping power.

Hey Suby...

Suby,

Do you still like your Rotors? I'm about to replace mine, but I want to be sure the ones you got from eBay were still doing well. Thanks.

Exclamation DEAL!!!

If nothing else, these are a deal!

I bought 2 crossdrilled front rotors for $400 from Motorsports 2 years ago. The quality was questionable, but OK since. [One rotor was sent with TWO HOLES MISSING!] They now sell 2 front rotors (or rears) for $210 a pair (different manufacturer).

So, my set of 4 rotors cost $610 plus shipping!

I'd say $120 a set is a good deal. I can't imagine getting a standard set for less than $120. My standard Autozone rear rotors cost $70 each.

GOOD LUCK!
