highly modded talons are a different story. still, its blasphemous to enjoy such things as mitsubishis. they are so not classy.
theyre like nokias. :P
visit DSM.org, all 4g63 eclipses are high 14 low 15 second cars out of the box. You must have raced a *rare* auto, they can be puches

This was not a problem as proper SVX's come complete with entry via a handle entered PIN as a standard feature. Not a gimmick and very worthwhile.

i never consider anything manual a fair match for an svx. if you get a rare auto gsx or gst, the svx should win. the svx will defeat many auto cars, but not many auto owners race, so i guess there is hardly any comparison.

Racing Report

I have found a near perfect match for the SVX. You are probably going to laugh.

Car: 1992 Subaru SVX LS-L (3.3L H-6, Auto Tranny)
Opponent: 1992 Dodge Daytona. (3.0L V-6, Manual Tranny)
Place: Twin Elm Road, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
Track Length: 1/4 Mile (1320 Feet)
Track Conditions: Two Lane Blacktop
Air Temperature: 18 Degrees Celcius (64.4 Deg. Farenheit)
Time: 0230 Hours
Date: July 12th, 2003

Because the guys weren't standing excatly at the finish line, they couldn't call the race.

The second one, apparently I had him by about 6 inches. Not bad considering i was about a carlength and a half behind off the line. The computer likes to take it's time to figure out what it's gonna do after you mash the gas, doesn't it?

You must bow seven times toward Gunma (once for each of the sisters). Then, repeat "Forgive me for my transgression" six times, each time touching one the six stars in the subaru emblem, in order, with the BIG one last.

Oh yeah, then go wax your SVX.

Offended? Come on, Michelle, he said FAST Talons, not SLOW Talons. What more do you want?

Besides...look how quicly you got defensive and how quickly your "talons" came out!

i didnt know we were talking quarter miles here. >_>
couldnt be perhaps that the GSX has a fiberglass body that it runs a decent 1/4. hmmm.....
i raced it on the highway and even though he did take me off the line his accelleration maxed out at 70 or so and i whaled passed him tokyo style at around 85. even the whoosh of his turbo didnt help. i just consider Eclipses to be inferior all together minus one that i drove. red 95 5spd with auto clutch = no shift time = FAST as hell.
crikey. has anyone ever seen that before? a standard tranny with no clutch? its amazing O_O!

I took my driver's test (back in the stone age -- 1972) in an "Automatic Stick Shift" car. It was a (I think) 1971 model VW BUG! Needless to say, the thing wasn't very popular. No clutch, just jam it in gear!

Which probably explains why my sis destroyed her '01 Cavalier, but hey, it wasn't mine!
