1. 1968 Dodge Charger 383/hurst 4 spd- My first car. Fast. Furious. Fun. Expensive. Time consuming. Needs full resto.
2. 1997 Dodge Neon SOHC Coupe- fun, reliable, faster than my SVX, cheap. Plasticy, rattly, no options what-so-freaking ever
3. 1978 Mercury Marquis Sedan Brougham. 400cubic inch v8. Power everything. Badass dark blue. 300 bucks. No place to keep it. Sold for 300 dollars.
4. 1992 Subaru SVX LSL- Cool, Loaded, Fast on the highway Sucks premium, gets beat by neons, cavaliers, and anything with a stickshift.

>sigh<

Rides...Then and Now

31 Model A Coupe
51 MG TD
54 Jaguar XK 120M (exhaust at full chat would break glass)
58 Jaguar XK 150S
58 VW Bug Cabrio
61 VW Bug w/Porsche 1600 motor (A lot of fun at stoplights and on twisties)
66 Lotus Cortina (Used to tape headlights and go racing on weekends; rest of the time, it hauled me, wife, daughter and full sized Newfoundland dog. Great car.)
66 Olds Vista Cruiser - Had manual trans (!)
73 Pontiac TransAm Wagon
76 Fiat 131 Wagon (Contrary to usual bad rap on Fiats, this was a good little car. It had a nice DOHC motor with a slick 5sp trans and with Cromadora alloys, fat tires and an Abarth exhaust, was a blast to drive. I put 170k trouble free miles on it before the body rusted off it.)
79 BMW 528i (Black with red leather. Beautiful & quick.)
71 BMW 1602 (European Version)*
74 BMW 2002
76 BMW 2002
57 Lancia Aurelia B20S GT Coupe* (One of the first true GT cars and very much the SVX of its day. It has an all-aluminum V6 motor with 5sp trans mounted at rear axle, along with inboard rear brakes. Rear suspension is DeDion type. As result of this layout, car had true 50/50 weight distribution and superior handling in its day. These cars raced and won class several times at LeMans, the Mille Miglia, and many others in Europe.)
92 SVX LS-L* (What can I say, except that so far, this is the best.)
95 Mitsubishi Diamante Wagon* (Excellent car, Built in Australia.)

BIKES
60 Honda 305 Super Hawk (Rode it for 2yrs in Japan, brought it back home to US, rode it another 2yrs and sold it for twice what I paid for it.)
86 Yamaha FZ600 (Totally reliable ride for 10 yrs)
94 Ducati 900sscr* (A work of art and probably as close to having a Ferrari as I'll ever get...or need.)

*=Currently in the stable.

Dan

Cool

OK. One last time. I do this as an exercise to ward off my coming necessity for a daily dose of "Senior Moment" pills.

'51 Buick Roadmaster - Dad's car that I got license in. Gets "Best Back Seat Ever" award.
'53 Olds Holiday Coupe - My first wheels & almost worth the 300 bucks I paid for it.
'57 Buick Special 2 dr. hardtop - Three on tree! Very rare, very slow.
'59 Olds Dynamic 2 dr. hardtop - A good car actually. Drove it coast- to-coast & back.
'53 Morris Minor Convertible - Cool car for a penniless GI in California. Bought & sold it for $300.
'57 VW w/folding top. Why did I ever sell this?!
'66 Fiat 850 Coupe. My future wife had one & I just "had" to have one too. Totalled it head first against a real big truck in Germany.
'59 Mercedes 190 gas 4 door sedan. Traded totalled Fiat for it. Toured Europe in '67-68 with it. Indestructible car!
'68 Fiat 124 Coupe - (Back in the states) hooked on Fiats. That's funny, they didn't rust in Germany!?
'72 Opel 1900 Manta Coupe.(SVX Colorado Copper in color). 130K on original clutch.
'70 Olds Cutlass 4 dr. - 238K - suspension finally collapsed, but drivetrain was the best ever.
'77 Olds Delta 88 4 dr. - 230? CID V-8. The slowest car on this planet or any other planet, ever built. But unbreakable.
'88 Plymouth Voyager van. Still sitting in the driveway @ 170K.
'87 Chrysler GTS sedan. 100HP Mitso engine - Slow. Got T-Boned. Insurance replaced with......
'87 Chrysler GTS sedan. 147HP Turbo. YESSSS!!! Great car. Sold at 237K after buying funny windowed car over two years ago. It's still on the road.
'87 VW Scirocco. Inherited from daughter. Fun with 73HP.
'92 SVX. Mint. Stock. Ebony. 118K. Not for sale, or best offer over 20K.

Ron. (did I mention the Cushman Scooter back in '64?)

I wish you guys wouldn't quote him... I was very happy just letting his love for a neon pass...

Rob... Please join the NEON hotline!!! Learn how to drive, sell the SVX to someone that won't whine about it all the time or just go away... It just told me that I've rolled to many eyes....

My list is so boring, but here goes:

1988 Dodge Omni hatchback (POS) 95-97
1985 Toyota Celica GT-S hatchback 97-99
1992 Subaru SVX 99-01
1987 Honda Accord hatchback (3 months)
2002 Hyundai Elantra GT hatchback 02-present
near future: Another SVX? We'll see!

While my SVX wasn't a hatchback, all of my others cars were. But, what they all have is a rear wiper. I have to keep the rear wiper trend going.
