how many Catalytic Converters are there

how many Catalytic Converters are there on a 92. well my question is is the Y-pipe a Catalytic Converter? thanks aaron

thanks for the reply. the reason i asked is because i had my y-pipe replaces today and i didnt know if it was a cat so i wasnt sure if i was overcharged. thanks

There are 3 catalytic converters. The first 2 are right after the headers and are actually pre cats, and the main cat is also your Y pipe.

Hey there are 6 part numbers for the pre-cats left and right so that make 3 different sets. could someone explain the difference between the them.
