Re: svxless

I know how you feel. I spent months apart from my car during the last year, with all the repairs I had to have done.

This is a pain only us SVX owners seem to understand.

Cheer up, it will be back ready for action soon!

Re: svxless

I know I'm going to dread the time it takes to get mine repainted. OT is pretty quick at putting things together in less than a day for me so far and I can't wait for the new exhaust build but that should only take a day.. I hope.

Well when it comes back to you, at least it'll be amazing to drive again..

Re: svxless

Bummer about being out of the SVX for so long, but at least you're still riding in style. I may not drive my SVX every week, but I certainly walk out and say hi quite often.

Re: svxless

2 weeks, eh. glad they are getting used to working on your car. Its a "guinea pig" start for them. If they don't mess it up too much, let us know, I might need a dealer that has become familiar with them, someday.......
no, though, good luck let us know that it turns out awesome. If i ever need to take mine to the dealers, the ones in Iowa are like, look at the car, and politely respond "sorry, we only work on subarus" and then you tell them it is.....
and then they feel really dumb, which they are....someday i may take my Brat to the dealer, just to mess with them and ask for a clutch job. Bet they turn it down too. midwest suks for service, that why i do it ALL myself

I wouldn't dare take my Svx to our dealership. No. 1 reason is their rates are way too much and I have my own mechanic who is my friends dad and I help him out with any work. No. 2 reason is our Subaru dealership is only 9 years old so no one in there has ever even seen an Svx.

Re: svxless

i take mine out a bit further than our surrounding dealership because the mechanic at the bellevue dealership has his own svx and knows his stuff.

reason its taking so long, im told, is because the power steering line has a big bubble in it, and instead of doing a $600 process of disassembling the power steering system he's slowly adding more fluid to push the bubble out
