Possible front wheel bearing?

So, I had my driver side front wheel bearing replaced about a month ago, everything has been fine. However, now what I think is coming from the passengers side front is a slight scraping noise. It doesn't get louder as I increase speed really, its just there.

To make the story more interesting this scraping started today, as I was driving. I heard a few clunks and clicks and as it happened I was thinking, great another tranny. However I have the power there. I just have this scraping.

I've also had a brake light coming on intermittently. ONLY when I start up in the morning, and it would seem to go away after the car had been started for alittle bit. Now it seems its on all the time. I've been thinking this could be due to low brake fluid but haven't had the time to check. I've also had an ABS light on for about 2 1/2 weeks.

I just hope my poor car will be alright.

Re: Possible front wheel bearing?

Check the Dust Plate behind the brake assembly. When I did my Axles, I bent them outward on both sides and had a sound like fingernails on a chalkboard....

You'll see the rub marks from the Brake Rotor, if that is it.

Re: Possible front wheel bearing?

But why would mine have that symptom. I haven't changed the axles yet, although I plan to. It seems like it happened out of the blue.

Re: Possible front wheel bearing?

Check your ABS sensor and the tone ring. It could have been damaged by the mechanic. It happened to me.

Re: Possible front wheel bearing?

the ABS was on before I took it to the shop, but this new problem involving what I think my just be bushings is the creaking, at least thats my guess. As for the clunk I heard, I hope it's not the front diff, although I haven't had any transmission slips, or I don't think I have lol. It seemed more like something caught near or on the wheel or something that turns it, it broke free, and now it just isn't quite right.

Yes, I know. But someone worked on it, and they might have grabbed the dust shield, just like I did. I had no idea I had bent it out. But going over how I got in there, it figures.
I thought I drew the bearings in too tight, but after taking the Castle Nut loose, resetting it, and not getting a result, I looked again, and there it was """"Glaring Right At Me"""".... Both sides too.
