I was thinking..you pulled an old 4EAT out of the car right? You should be able to scrounge the oil pump from that one to fix your 4.11.

Never done it myself, but pretty sure the front diff has to come off, which requies removing the tail section, but I don't think it requires dissmantleing the main Transmission parts....but it is supposed to be shimmed into spec.

its pretty hard. I wouldn't all the surprised if the pump was still good.You say you turned it twice and it sounded like something popped?? Maybe it was the alignment of the oil pump Just check it out

it kinda sounded like breaking a steel rod in half it was a loud sound, oh well know more next time i have a day or two off so i can pull the transmission

I have a spare oil pump in the garage if you need it. Pretty simple install, just make sure you have the new gaskets
