Need Help with my other toy- 71 Pontiac

Hi Guys

Okay this is extremely frustrating, so I thought I would look here for an answer! Besides if you can trouble shoot a SVX, this hopefully would be a breeze !

My '71 Ventura has a very noisy Voltage Regulator and I just can't figure it out. I replaced the ignition switch and light switch. This eliminated the problem of it not charging the battery and now the GEN light is finally off. However NOW when I put the car in a different gear (automatic) or am just driving down the road sometimes (actually most the time) the GEN light flickers or comes on, and the Voltage Reg emites this terrible buzzing sound. I changed Voltage Regs, but it still does it. The Alt checks out okay. The battery isn't draining overnight, and I just can't really think of what would cause this.

Thank you!!!!

Well, I was a Poncho head way before I became addicted to Subies...and my best advise is.....

Get a one wire alternator, with a built in regulator, should solve all you problems.
