It was to replace it. I originally had the blue shaded tint and they gave me the brown shaded tint (who cares?). I'll find the receipt and post it for you to see.

If you can make a deal with a reputable packing and shipping company, you may have just found yourself a business!!!

I've got one out here in Vegas, if anyone wants to do a swap in my driveway. I'll let it go for $300 as long as I don't have to touch it. Any glass company will come do a swap for probably around a 50 spot.

Wasn't doubting you; just surprised because I thought the glass alone was in the $900 range.

I just got off the phone with Diamond/Triumph. While I was on hold, she called their three suppliers and they all comfirmed that "Subaru has the corner on the market" for our windshield, (the part in "quotes" was her statement). All three of Diamond/Triumph's suppliers list our windshield as "order from Subaru".

When I told her about dannmarr's experience, her guess was that someone had that Diamond location order a windshield and never picked it up so that location just wanted to dump it.

dannmarr - Please follow up with your Diamond location to see if they can get more windshields for that price!

i know for a fact there are only three windshield manufacturers in california, but there are different manufacturers out of state, the manufacturers here dont have the ability to search nation wide, thus start calling out of state till you find one that makes the glass

When I read the receipt it said deductible $365 it also listed an insurance company which was probably billed for the difference in the price. Alot of glass companys offer to pay the deductible and rape the insurance company on the price of glass just to get your business. In your case you still got a $1000 piece of glass for $365
