New AWD car for the track!!

My friend and I recently purchased a 1990 Eagle Talon TSi (Eclipse GSX). That we are going to be using as a track car, for races and driving schools. We got it cheap from a man who was about to get the car impounded for letting it sit in his front yard for almost a year. We had it checked out and everything seems to be good. Except for the clutch in which we just ordered a new one. It ought to be fun everything is coming out of it seats, stereo everything. We are going to try to bump the HP on it as well and then enter in some driving schools/track times. It has the 4G63 engine in it (Turbo 2.0liter 195h.p.) and it is All Wheel Drive!! I'll post picks of it tonight.

Looking forward to seeing the pics!

Don't worry a mechanical boost controller is on the way as a BOV a new down pipe and some other goodies. Here's some pics I'll have better ones in a few days. I have to go down to my friends house to take them because he is storing the car for now.

Awesome looking DSM! Good luck with the mods and making it into a true track car!

Those cars handle so well at the limit.

track car! yeah those kick ass.
i have a few suggestions!
unbolt the downpipe, make a DIY checkvalve boost controller or just loop the wastegate.you can get a k&n "drop in" filter and then just take the metal intake cover off, or cut holes in it. But you can just bolt the k&n filter on without replacing the canister (take a look and you will see what i mean)

Ya wanna find some Pro Rally's just go on NASIOC and ask around... THere's a few down here in the southeast, but plenty more in the north!!.. There's also a stock class!!! Ya just need a roll cage I think I'd want one anyway to make me feel alittle safer (Especially with how agressive I drive)...

Same here 142,000 and the only thing that we and the mechanic we had it checked with could find wrong with it was that the clutch needed to be replaced. Hopefuly it will last for a few years of track driving.
