Question Helpwith 5spd pedal install 90legacy pedals.

I was putting the pedal asembley in yesterday (90 legacy pedals) It bolted in and I made it so all the holes lined up and started to tighten it down, but then i pressed the clutch in and it wouldent go down, so i looked to see what was bloacking it form moving it, turned out the wiring going through a plastic box was bloacking it from moving, i was wondering if any one has run into this problem and has gotten around it. Thanks

Maybe you could be a little more specific. Which plastic box? Which wiring? To which component is the wiring running?

Pic?

Almost all of the wiring under the dash goes through this box, If i rember right all of the wires coming from the engine go through it. Its not a computer, but it deverts wires to the right area to go to( i think). Its white plastic, and it does not want to move at all. The plastic box is loacted right above the brake pedal assembley.

I removed mine and rerouted the mess of wires up under the dash further using zip ties.

What a swear-fest that was!

whats inside the box of wires, can you just cut the box and move all of the wires out of the way, or are there terminals or something that makes it really hard? I only need 1/2 inch of clearence or less and the pedal would be able to move, maye i can just cut the box and zip tie it togher more?

Whats the Aussie power chip?

Going through old threads...

What did you end up doing with the wiring box?

I didn't have to touch mine.
