I would agree - I have only had my car for four months but I must say -

You would think they would have had a meatier transmission.

That they would have taken more from Porsche than just the boxster engine concept.

That perhaps for the sake of their own development of better cars for Subaru's future they would have improved the engine and transmission as an ongoing part of R&D so that they could ACTUALLY get it right the second time around.

The electrical system on these Subies would finally be on par with their prices.

I like the car - but I guess I do feel that the SVX is over-rated for its reputation. I suppose for a car that goes around 10k TOPS - it is a good buy.

Yep, Harvey sings the same tune, the automatic will work better with a lower final drive.

Less stress all round, and the possibility of smokin' some tyres!!

Don't know if I will be able to get it done while the tranny is out this time. I would need legacy internals for the front diff and rear diff to match.

Would be interesting, though.
