I was talking about the 2.0 Turbo's CR.

Hrm. To beat most 'riced' hondas? Stock Neon 5spd. SOHC. :P

HOWEVER, if you wanna be a competitor for cheap, get a neon with a blown engine (1000 bucks), get a 2.4 liter engine from a wrecked stratus (600 bucks), get the motormounts from tti (ttiracing.com)(80bucks), and a few bolt ons from www.modernperformance.com. The 2.4 uses the same DOHC intake and exhaust, and PCM, so its almost a bolt in. You'll outhandle and out accelerate damn near any FWD car on the road. PERIOD.

A neon with a 2.4, intake, exhaust, UDP, and header with a 50 shot was putting 220hp to the WHEELS. WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!

OK.

Can you build me a neon. Or better yet, do you still have your? I'd love to test drive a neon. I love stick shift and if neon is what you say it is, it could be a nice second car (apart from the SVX I am eyeing ofcourse)

I'm confused by your posts and I want to make sure I understand which Subaru engine uses a 12.5:1 compression ratio. Are you saying the 2.0 turbo in the WRX has a 12.5:1 CR? Compression ratios are almost always SIGNIFICANTLY reduced when the engine is super/turbocharged. A 12.5:1 would cause that engine to go BOOM very quickly. Hell, a 12.5:1 naturally aspirated engine would go boom very quickly in day to day use.

I hate to nitpick, but you're wrong. The GT-Four was sold in the US as the Celica Turbo All-Trac. They're a dime a dozen now but it's hard to find one in good condition. They didn't sell the All-Trac in the late 90's body style, only in the older style with the pop-up headlights.

They make great rally cars!

Also, wawazat is absolutely correct on the CR issue.

And both the EJ20t and the EJ25 are quite moddable. There are a huge number of turbo'd 2.5RSes running around making silly levels of HP and torque on pump gas, daily driven. It's not a simple bolt on affair though... good fuel and timing control is essential when modifying any Subaru.

You've got a Sterling with only 33K miles? Keep it and mod it. Perfect stealth machine. You'd be gone before they realized they were in a race.

I still have my neon if anyone wants it, but it kinda sucks ass as a daily driver. No A/C, no cruise, no rear window defrost, no power windows, no power locks, no sunroof, no rear swaybar (it needs one bad).

The good news is that its a black coupe 5spd that doesn't weigh much and has some kickass tires/wheels and KYB GR2 struts with some polished aluminum strut bars. :P

3000 obo. :P

AFSilverstar - to bring up another issue - what's your insurance situation like? Are you responsible for paying it? If so, keep in mind how horribly high rates are going to be on anything approaching a sports coupe...

My insurance only went up about 70 bucks a year from the neon. >shrug< Just make sure you find an insurance company that doesn't know what the hell an SVX is.

2.0 in the Legacy GT Turbo has 12.5:1 as far as I know.

Dude, there is simply no way. I'm looking back through my info here and I don't see a single Sube that has ever been over 10:1.

I have a dealer's manual for the 2003 Legacy GT that has 12.5:1 Just don't ask me how I got that.

Thats true, my car is somewhat powerful , it has some torque, I know its a Honda but not all honda. Its a British car with a honda engine, it has a 2.5 L 160 hp honda engine, but the thing is , its auto....

yea I like my car all the features, the somewhat torque it has, its nice and stuff but.......its auto, and the Sterlings are known for bad electrical and tranny, the tranny slips a lot when its changing gears and all, like if your going up a hill and give it gas it kinda slips
