Acrobat or Word Format
I have had several people tell me that they do not like Acrobat format. I have used it in some of the How-Tos, and will switch to Word if every one can accsess the informaton if it is in Word. I only used Acrobat so that everyone can get the information and print it if needed. Let me know which format you would prefer.

I can use either...(i think i was the first vote!). but i like acrobat more than word. i don't know why...i just do...i think just b/c of the fact that i takes acrobat less time to load than word. i believe the basic version of acrobat reader is free...so ppl just need to download it. it just seems a lot cleaner to me...but to each his own!

I'm for Acrobat. Its platform-independent, and anyone can download and install Acrobat Reader for free. (I am aware that there is a free M$ Word document reader, but still, its M$.)

I prefer acrobat. It has become the standard for form downloads. Just go to any manufacturer's site and all the user manuals are there in acrobat format.
If you do word, save it as an .rtf which is less susceptible to viruses. Doug

Downside of Acrobat is that we 'dail-up peoples' get frustrated with the downloads sometimes.. I'll take it anyway I can get it as long as the advice is free and semi correct!

I dunno, just something I hate about Acrobat that i just can't put my finger on. Prolly because it is a ***** to edit and/or modify the files. Not really sure why I hate it so. I can use either and it really doesn't matter to me but I must admit the Acrobat format is good for all no matter what platform they use - Windows, Linux, or Mac. Prolly should stick with Acrobat for that.
I usually write all my personal and work docs in HTML format with a text editor like Notepad or VI.
