Ford
I owned a 1969 Ford Talladega. From the rear it was the same as the Torino except for big dual exhausts and the resulting rumble. From the front it was totally different with a flat black hood. The only identifying emblems on the exterior were Ford front and rear. Not many of them made except for the race track. Wish I still had it---oh well.

I had a 1969 Torino with the 428, it was modified to have 3 dueces, heads 60over, headers, straight pipes with cherry bomb mufflers, air shocks to accomodate oversize tires, and a whole lot of other mods. It was setup for drag racing. Fastest car I ever drove. Averaged 5mpg. I sold it and bought my 928. I kinda miss that car though. |

I had one of these about 15 years ago. A real head-turner.

Is it the lighting, or were you very excited by cars in your youth?

I'm new to the forum, but I thought I would put my 2 cents in. Being around odd cars all my life this is a fun topic. The GTV6 I have always makes people just confused. I can tell them that it is a 93 and they would believe me. Some think it looks like a Deloran since it is silver. The Spider I have I always get asked if it is a Ferrari. That is a fun on to run around with. And youc an't forget the TVR. Our inside joke is "Yes Sir it is a TVR 2500M." That is one crazy looking car.

I like the BMW 8 series, I think the 840 would be the choice.
Another car in our ilk would be the Nissan 300 ZX TT, nice motor. Older technology but similar to our size/power is the Jensen Interceptor, particularly the FF with the four wheel drive. Contemporary technology would be the Nissan Skyline R32 GTR. Much faster and more technological, of course. Top of the yearning pile for me is the Ferrari 456. Either manual GT or GTA would do me. Money wise, the one I am most likely to end up driving in the next couple of years is the R32 GTR. These are creating a serious itch with me, and scratching don't make it go away Joe

Joe[/QUOTE] About three years ago I stumbled upon a Jensen Healey Club meet in my neighborhood. About two dozen of these beasts were in attendence, including a ragtop or two, & one 4 wheel drive version. Very rare car. Much drool was displayed. Ron.
