After a long 3 years of sitting i got a new heart for my baby, now is there anything on the new donor motor i should look for before i install it? Im going to re-gasket most of the motor do plugs and timing belt, water pump anything else?

Check that it has the newer/upgraded flex-plate where the transmission mounts.
I can't describe the difference but a search of the forum should answer that.

Now is a good time to change all the small hoses which are hardened from age. Especially the ones under the intake which are difficult to get to.

I plan on doing a manual swap while i have the motor out, idealy what would be the easiest 5/6 speed swap
