engine swap: can a 97 work in a 92?

Just wondering if there's any reason that a 97 engine wouldn't work in a 92. Might there be somesorta prob with the ecu or something?

The engine will work just fine, you will want to swap the intake manifolds with assorted wiring and run your 92 ecu

i agree use your intake ,97 is OBD2 and reads your EGR temp and back pressure that were not monitored in 92
