Re: I have a svx replacement

They certainly have if you have worked on them. They are built using some very high end methods. This doesn't allways translate to reliablity, but its certainly impressive to see the same methods of building a car as a high end european car on a $10K bottomfeeder.

The 2010 hyundai sonata
The coming 2011/12 hyundai elantra
The 2010 kia soul
The coming 2011 kia optima
They would be some of the cool-looking cars on the roads.

Check out this Kia Soul. If you dress it up, look!! I want one!!

The engine might be a bit old design for this soul....but it's a proven reliable engine. Their coming new engines in the sonata and optima are one of the best in class. 2.4 direct fuel injection, 200hp yet 35mpg on highway!

My daily drive is a Kia. In two and half year, I put 73000miles on it. No major problems. A few sensors replaced. Low maintenance. Front brake pads last me up 72000miles. Save a lot gas. Quiet happy with that.

Sorry I own a korean car but I own japanese cars, too.

Why don't you get a 6 speed manual?

Your car can be faster than that....

Re: I have a svx replacement

Well the 6 speed auto is actually faster because it has a 3.70 gear vs a 3.54 in the stick plus all manual models are around 3470lbs,the auto is listed at 3300.I went to the dump and had the car weighed, its 3291 lbs i was surprised.

it is not, but every other day i think about unloading the black svx for another kia or hyundai.

after returning the used outback i bought in april, i had every intent on buying another subaru. the impreza was uncomfortable and felt cheap and i didn't care for the cvt in the legacy at all. i would have been content with the 6mt 2.5i premium with AWP/HK/sunroof, but they didn't have one and the price started getting up there. the only subaru, i would have been totally in love with was a 3.6r limited.

ended up buying another kia optima instead. this one's a 2009 which is the same body as the 2007 we surrendered, but they added a lot of standard features compared to the 2007: 5EAT/ABS/TCS/ESC/iPod/sirius. and it was only 14 grand for a new car.

my straight wife and i are joking about buying matching kia soul + in alien.

The 370z auto is also as light as the 6mt.

My wife and I went for a ride in a Kia that we rented when our SVX was being serviced. We drove down a hill near our home that we go up and down several times a day in our SVX.

A flaw in the pavement that had previously gone unnoticed driving our SVX almost caused us to lose control... scared the tar out of us. We recovered and went straight back to Enterprise and made them exchange it for another brand.

Good luck in your Kia World.

Re: I have a svx replacement

This was my experience with a Kia

more pics here

I must say, I gained a ton of respect for Kia after I beat the crap out of this rental while my silver was at the body shop for about a week and a half. Shortly after is when I found out it is owned by Hyundai which left me much less surprised. Still had a lot of fun though.

Actually think that went to the Yugo or Chev Corvair.
Pintos were actually pretty good little commuter cars. Nearly any car's gas tank would rupture if hit in the assend at 50 MPH.
