Peeling clearcoat

I have a Green 94 and just this year the clear coat on my roof is beginning to show signs of peeling, especially the sunroof. Anyone else experiencing this, and if so, is there a cheap fix to at least stop it from getting worse.

Re: Peeling clearcoat

That seems pretty common on the emerald pearl color. I've seen a few like that.

Re: Peeling clearcoat

I'm located in the Hamilton Ont. area. Going to take it to a bodyshop friend of mine to see what can be done but I suspect that I will be painting the roof. The sunroof has a little rust on it so it probably needs to be repaired anyway...

Re: Peeling clearcoat

Its peeling from being exposed to the sun a lot and the fact that the clear coats they used in 1994 were not so great as what we have today which causes delamination of the clear from the basecoat.
