SVX back to winter duty
The Murano rims have come off and now have the stockers with Continental Contiextreme Contacts. The difference between the General Exclaim UHP tires is night and day. I'm going to wear the General's down a little bit more and replace them. After driving with them for so long, I've forgotten what grip feels like.
I'm prepping the car for long distance since it would be more well suited for winter driving and highway driving than my other car. I am also debating taking off my front splitters when I take the car to Vermont. Anyone have any other issues with splitters getting ripped off by deep snow? I took it out yesterday for a relatively decent sized snowstorm in South Jersey and it fared quite well. The nice thing about the 5 speed is that the car has throttle induced oversteer. There were a few times I was understeering on ice and applying throttle was able to correct it enough to stay in control . Here's how much snow we got in central Jersey:
